About the event

2022 marks the final 50th Anniversaries of the Apollo Missions to the Moon

The AIM HIGHER GALA is a celebration of the past to awaken the future and bring together the space curious with the space serious. As we begin to close the chapter on Apollo, we look to the future of space exploration. This time in a more inclusive and diverse way.

We'll celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 16 Moon landing, passing the torch to Artemis and the future of commercial and international space activities, as well as showcasing ways space exploration makes life better on Earth. The evening will entail a black-tie dinner attended by industry professionals, space agencies, commercial companies and people who love space. Former NASA astronauts Nicole Stott, Susan Kilrain and South Korean astronaut Soyeon Yi and JAXA Astronaut Naoko Yamazakit will appear on stage during the gala to share stories from their time in space. Professor Brian Cox will participate virtually and our MC will be BBC presenter and TV host Dallas Campbell.

We will present awards to those who have made signifant contributions to space exploration:

SPACE ICON AWARD

Gen. Charlie Duke - Capcom for Apollo 11, LMP from Apollo 16, and the 10th man to walk on the Moon

SPACE PIONEER AWARD
